I have been teaching and educating children and adults in the art of classroom music and gospel music for nearly 20 years. Of those years 10 years have been with Desoto Independent School District here at Woodridge Fine Arts Magnet Academy. I am originally from New Castle, DE, but later moved to Cecil County, MD in 2005. In July of 2007 I moved to Texas. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance from Elizabeth City State University in Elizabeth City, NC (2000) and a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Concordia University Texas (2015).  I am also the lead musician and organist at New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church. I have severed as a keyboard musician of several churches here in the Metro-plex, over the last ten years. I enjoy learning from other master musicians, music educators and music clinicians. I have two amazing children who love music as well. Naya (17) plays the clarinet at Trinity High School in Euless, TX, and Trevor (12) plays the piano, drums and guitar and attends McCowan Middle School here in Desoto.  In my free time I enjoy going to the movies, listening to a variety of music from classical, to urban and smooth jazz, R&B and Gospel and Christian and music. My favorite foods to eat are fries chicken, Teaxs Bar-b-que and my number one is , Seafood. It is such an honor and privilege to serve the students of WFMA through the fine of of music!
