Greetings and welcome to a new exciting school year! I am new to the DeSoto ISD and grateful to serve on the best campus known to the district; I apologize, I mean the state! Texas Woman's University serves as my alma mater. In December 2006, I graduated with my BS in Family Studies and again in August of 2009, with my MBA. The spring of 2013, I decided to pursue my heart's desire, alternative teacher certification with ACT Houston at Dallas. Currently, I attend WGU Texas for a master's degree in elementary mathematics, kindergarten through sixth grade. I am certified by the state of Texas in early childhood through sixth grade, generalist as well as English as Second Language, early childhood through sixth grade. In addition to grad school, I am also in the process of attaining my 200 hour yoga teacher training. Being a resident of DeSoto is a blessing, but to now educate in this great suburb of Dallas puts me on cloud nine!
Thank you so much for allowing me to serve as your Eagle's math and science teacher this school year! I look forward to partnering with you and your student for a successful school year here at Woodridge Elementary Fine Arts Magnet Academy where growth, learning and creativity happen everyday!
